HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)

What is HIFU?

HIFU, which stands for 'high-intensity focused ultrasound', is a non-invasive, painless procedure that uses ultrasound to make skin tighter. When high-intensity ultrasound is focused onto a particular area, collagen production is enhanced.

Characteristics of HIFU

As the ultrasound waves are aimed at a particular tissue under the skin, there is no damage to the skin or the surrounding tissues. Generally speaking, it is very effective for those in their 30s or over and the drooping is mild to moderate. If skin damage caused by natural light or severe skin drooping is present, many rounds of treatment may be required. If skin drooping is very severe, then surgery may be more suitable.
